Special Edition Omega Seamaster for 007 No Time to Die Movie

Omega timepieces have appeared in James Bond movies ever since the 1995 film “007 GoldenEye” entered the limelight. Now, the latest entry for the 2021 movie is the Special Edition 007 Titanium Omega Seamaster watch.

The new Seamaster Diver 300M 007 Edition, built with the idea of military needs, had some inputs from Daniel Craig and the 007 film producers in the design. During the process, the Omega designer stayed in touch with the actor, getting his James Bond expertise to know the kinds of features the watch could need.

Craig said that Omega and he decided to come up with a lightweight timepiece suitable for the 007 military man such as his character. He even proposed vintage colors and accents to make it unique. His co-star, Lashana Lynch, wore a NATO strap Seamaster in one of the scenes.

Strap/Bracelet

Reference 210.90.42.20.01.001 features the modern striped NATO strap ( gray, beige, dark brown ) while Reference 210.92.42.20.01.001 has the titanium mesh bracelet ( or the Milanese/Shark mesh strap ). Of course, it has a creative adjustable buckle, too, for better comfort with the 007 etched on the loop.

Case

This 42mm titanium watch comes in a lightweight material from a Grade 2 titanium that bursts with exquisiteness and sturdiness. The case, lugs, aluminum bezel, and titanium crown have a brushed finish. You will find the helium escape valve located at the ten o’clock position, a feature used by divers with a diving bell.

For the back case, you will see some inscriptions intended only for this agent, the 007 emblem with the gun. What sets this particular case back differently from others is that it uses the NAIAD locking system, which aligns the case back in tandem with the engravings.

The rear of the watch features a numeric series that follows the military pattern. Number 0552 refers to the Navy personnel;  923 7697 for the diver’s watch; A for the screw-in crown, whereas 007 is for the iconic agent number. Lastly, the number 62 is the year that the very first James Bond film was released.

Dial

A domed sapphire crystal covers the dial with luminescent hour markers and skeletonized hands. These hour markers and seconds track feature a vintage tone. The glow-in-the-dark hour markers will keep you updated on time even in dark areas.

Using “tropical” brown aluminum for the bezel ring and dial, Omega substantially decreased the weight of the watch. Additionally, the up-pointing arrow can be observed on the matte tropical brown aluminum dial, which is situated at the 6 o’clock position. This arrow is a symbol that the British Armed Forces used during the war.

Movement

The movement of the watch, an exceptional example of magnetic resistance, precision, and chronometric efficiency, is controlled by an outstanding mechanism known as the Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806. It has 35 jewels and an oscillation rate of 25,200 vph. The power reserve has an approximate 55 hours with the Co-Axial escapement feature and Si14 silicon balance spring.

Price

The suggested price for the Seamaster with a NATO strap is $8,100 while for the titanium bracelet is $9,200. However, the price varies depending on the authorized retail shop you’d inquire to.
